DS Containers is committed to Sustainability. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing process was designed to produce a modernized, two-piece, laminated steel aerosol can. This coil-to-can approach optimizes the use of material and energy to produce lightweight, high quality, recyclable aerosol cans; resulting in a reduced carbon footprint.
Our aerosol cans are made from tin-free steel, coated on both sides with PET (a polyester polymer).
Most community recycling operations now accept aerosol cans, and we are working with the Steel Recycling Institute to encourage further inclusion in both curbside and drop-off programs.
Lightweighting is one of the best ways to improve the environment and economic efficiency of any packaging product. Our two-piece cans are at least 10% lighter than comparable three-piece aerosol containers.
Overall, we feel we have "right-sized" both our product and our process, and we continue to work with customers and suppliers to better our score.
